My name is David Joun, and my life has been a journey of searching—not just for business success, but for true meaning. After years of building businesses in Europe, including founding BarberLand, I decided to leave behind the fast-paced Western world and start anew. I found my new home on the island of Phu Quoc, Vietnam, where I finally discovered peace and a new perspective on life.
My story is filled with ups and downs—from a difficult past to successful ventures and the daily battle with an incurable illness. Every challenge has shaped me, leading me to document my journey in an autobiography that I am currently writing. Many of the thoughts and emotions from my book are also woven into the songs I compose, as music has always been my way of expressing the depths of my experiences.
Today, I live simply but with the awareness that every experience—good or bad—has its purpose. I no longer chase material goals but focus on what I can leave behind. I believe that true success is not measured by what we own, but by the impact we leave on others.
